Soon after arriving in Paris (a year ago – I know!!! So sorry for the late post) we headed straight to the Arc de Triomphe – it was the most lovely summer’s day and a walk after a long EuroStar trip was exactly what we needed.
We took a leisurely stroll down the Champs-Elysees, so much going on: locals on bicycles, tourists taking photos and everything in between. We decided to lunch at a typical French bistro on the way called Le Napoleone. I had my first Croque-monsieur on French soil – one of my favourite sandwiches! Afterwards we stopped by Haagen Daz for some ice-cream, happy day!
Finally we made it to the Arc de Triomphe. It is a HUGE monument, honestly the scale when you are right up and close to it is magnificent. We of course took about 100 photos to properly commemorate the moment! I have been to Paris before and seen the arc, but it was super special to share this experience with my mom and friends!
