Prague – Old Town Square

in Adventure
This was my first visit to the magical city of Prague, showing off its best side for summer no doubt – it set the scene for what was to be the most wonderful few days.

Never having visited Europe in summer I was completely unprepared for the heatwave that hit me, as well as the leisurely lifestyle that accompanied it. We stayed right on the Old Town Square – it felt like something out of a Medieval movie, but with happy smiley people!

Long morning walks turned into lazy lunches and late night shopping – so much to see and do! One of the highlights is definitely the astronomical clock right on the square, you can’t miss it as there are about 100 tourists swarming around it at any given time!

I loved the small gelaterias and galleries to be seen on every corner and the square played host to different musicians and entertainers every day and night.

Whether you want to buy a beer and savour some of the local street food on the square or go for a thai massage or exotic cocktail – you will not be left wanting by this experience.

Prague has moved to the top of my list of favourite European destinations, I cannot begin to imagine how different the vibe would be in winter but I plan on finding out one day!
