My mom’s last night in Dallas

in Life & Thoughts,Occasion

Sooo sad to say goodbye to my mom. She came with me to Dallas, to help me settle in and we had 2 weeks together. We went to movies, shopped, ate, danced and cleaned house ha ha – it was awesome and special and I will never forget it!

For her last night here Robert spoiled us up a storm by taking us to Place at Perry’s for some delicious food. For starters we shared this:

I’m not even going to attempt to explain how good it was, but trust me – AMAZING doesn’t begin to describe it.

I also ordered my favourite champagne, Perrier-Jouet and that made everything taste even better! For main course my mom ordered a coffee crusted steak that was so tasty and unusual, Robert had a steak and I had Sockeye salmon which was by far the best meal of the 3 – damn it was beyond good, the texture so soft it just melted in my mouth.

For dessert we had carrot cake, now it may sound boring, but read their description:

Lush carrot cake with raisins and cream cheese icing, served warm.

People, just have it – order it, don’t ask questions, you will not regret it I promise!

Before I finish this post I have to just draw attention to the amazing chandelier that hung right above our heads – see the day and night version.

And that was the end of a lovely evening. I miss her already so much! We have never been apart for more than 3 weeks so these 6 months will be very tough, but thank the Lord for Skype!
