Hope everyone had a lovely and safe Christmas, spent with your friends, family and favourites! My Christmas was very special because it was the first Christmas that Robert would be spending with me and my family in South Africa. He has never experienced a summer Christmas and the whole concept was very strange to him that we would spray “snow” on to our windows to make it look cold, and listen to winter Christmas songs about fireplaces and snow when in fact it was a boiling hot summers day outside!
But he got into it when he arrived and embraced our warm weather! My mom cooked us a delicious feast for Christmas eve (she is an excellent cook) and afterwards we opened all our gifts! We usually do gifts the night before Christmas, as we have to get up SO early for church on Christmas day that there is no time for gifts!
We gathered around our gold Christmas tree (another first for Robert, as his family always goes to the Christmas tree farm to pick and cut their own Christmas tree) and we opened all our gifts, along with the dogs and our cat! It was a very happy evening and we were all spoilt up a storm! So may things to be grateful on a night like that and it was made more awesome by Robert sharing it with us.
Ha ha please excuse our silly outfits – it was all just for a laugh!
